Is Seva Elite Staffing a staffing agency or an employer?

Seva Elite Staffing is a household placement agency, not an employer of household professionals. We identify, screen and introduce household professionals to families for their consideration. Families select and hire their chosen professional directly and remain responsible for the employment relationship, including wages, taxes and supervision.

How does the placement fee work?

What does Seva's 30-Day Replacement Guarantee cover?

We want every placement to feel right for both the family and the household professional. If, for a genuine reason, either the family or the placed professional determines that the placement is not the right fit and the placement ends within the first 30 days of the candidate's start date, Seva will conduct one replacement search and introduce suitable replacement candidates at no additional placement fee.

The guarantee is available once per placement and applies to a replacement search rather than a refund of the original placement fee. Families should notify Seva promptly if a placement ends or concerns arise. Eligibility is subject to the terms of the client placement agreement, including the family continuing to offer substantially the same role, responsibilities, schedule, location and agreed compensation.

You do. Once you hire a candidate directly, you become their employer of record and are responsible for their wages, taxes and supervision. Seva does not employ or pay household professionals.

Household professionals placed through Seva are hired directly by the family. Seva is a placement agency and does not become your employer. The family is responsible for the employment relationship, including compensation and applicable employment obligations.
