1. About Seva

Seva Elite Staffing LLC is a household placement agency serving New York families seeking household professionals, including nannies, newborn care specialists, housekeepers, household managers, non-medical private caregivers, private chefs, and drivers.

Seva identifies, screens, and introduces household professionals to families for their consideration. Seva does not employ household professionals placed with families. Families independently evaluate, select, and hire their chosen professional and are responsible for the resulting employment relationship.

Registration with Seva or submission of an inquiry does not guarantee an interview, introduction, placement, employment, or successful hire.

2. Families and Household Employers

Families are responsible for making their own final hiring decisions.

Although Seva may conduct screening and assist with the placement process, families remain responsible for determining whether a household professional is suitable for their particular household, needs, and circumstances.

Once hired, the family is the household professional’s employer and is responsible for applicable employment obligations, which may include compensation, payroll, taxes, wage-and-hour requirements, insurance, and other obligations required by law.

Information or resources provided by Seva regarding household employment are for general informational purposes only and are not legal, tax, accounting, or employment advice.

3. Household Professionals

Household professionals may register with Seva for consideration for suitable opportunities.

Seva does not charge household professionals registration or placement fees. Candidates are never asked to pay Seva at any stage of the application or placement process.

Registration does not create an employment relationship with Seva and does not guarantee that a household professional will be interviewed, introduced to a family, offered a position, or placed.

Household professionals are responsible for providing truthful, accurate, and current information regarding their identity, experience, qualifications, references, availability, and other information requested as part of the placement process.

4. Screening and Information

Seva may review information supplied by household professionals and may conduct or facilitate screening appropriate to a particular placement.

No screening process can guarantee future conduct, performance, compatibility, or suitability. Families should exercise independent judgment when making hiring decisions.

Seva may rely on information supplied by candidates, references, families, and third-party service providers, and cannot guarantee that every item of information supplied by another person or organization is complete or error-free.

5. Placement Fees

Candidates and household professionals are not charged registration or placement fees by Seva.

Families may be responsible for placement fees and other charges as specified in the applicable Client Placement Agreement.

Fees, payment obligations, replacement eligibility, and other placement-specific terms are governed by the Client Placement Agreement executed between Seva and the family. If these Terms of Use conflict with an executed Client Placement Agreement, the Client Placement Agreement will control with respect to the placement services it covers.

6. Replacement Guarantee

Certain eligible placements may include one replacement search within a specified period following the placed professional’s start date, at no additional placement fee, subject to the applicable Client Placement Agreement.

The replacement guarantee is not a guarantee of continued employment, candidate performance, or a particular outcome, and it does not constitute a refund of the original placement fee.

Eligibility, exclusions, and other conditions are governed by the applicable Client Placement Agreement.

7. No Employment Relationship with Seva

Seva’s role is limited to placement-related services.

Unless Seva expressly agrees otherwise in writing, Seva does not employ, direct, supervise, schedule, compensate, or control household professionals hired directly by families.

Nothing on this website creates an employer-employee relationship between Seva and a household professional placed with a family.

8. Job Opportunities and Candidate Profiles

Job opportunities displayed on this website are informational and may be modified, filled, closed, or withdrawn at any time.

Applying for an opportunity does not guarantee consideration, an interview, or employment.

Candidate profiles or availability information displayed on the website may change at any time. An “Available” designation does not guarantee that the professional remains available when an inquiry is received.

9. Accuracy of Website Information

Seva endeavors to keep website information accurate and current but does not warrant that all website content will always be complete, current, or error-free.

Website content may be updated without notice.

10. Third-Party Resources and Links
